VAUGHAN BACK FROM INJURY AS RESERVES LOSE

Defender Tony Vaughan is back in the squad for Saturday's trip to York after recovering from a rib injury.
He came through a 45-minute work-out in a reserve friendly against Chesterfield at Saltergate this afternoon (Tuesday).
Stags gave several senior players a first half outing and the sides were locked at 0-0 at half-time before a much younger second half Stags eventually lost 3-0 to an experienced Spireites side.
Trialist Michael Xiourouppa bagged 2 for the Spireites, Celeb Folan on his return from injury scored the other.

Stags Reserves went down 3 - 0 to local rivals Chesterfield in a fixture at
Saltergate on Tuesday afternoon.

Stags with 5 first team squad members including Tony Vaughan, were up against the Spireites who had an even stronger first team input, an certainly in the first 45
minute period the Stags had the upper hand.

However in the second period Stags were over powered a little, and when Clarke got caught
dwelling on the ball, the Spireites took advantage, and a second goal soon followed.

Stags removed some of there first team squad during the second half and Subs Christie, Williamson, Arnold and Holmes entered the fray.

Overall a good first 45 for the Stags, but fading away as some of the more
experienced first teamers were withdrawn.
