JOHN-BAPTISTE BACK FROM LOAN, PLUS INJURY NEWS
5th January 2004 21:24

Alex John-Baptiste is back from his loan to Tamworth. Keith Curle explained to mansfieldtown.net: “The loan spell has served it's purpose. Alex has been training with us as normal but playing first team football for Tamworth where he has impressed all who have watched him, he is returning this looking sharp but most importantly confident, and Match fit – this is why I would like to send all the younger players who are fighting for places in the first team on loan.”
Alex may feature in the reserve fixture arranged at Walsall on their training pitch tomorrow afternoon.

Meanwhile mansfieldtown.net reports on the latest injury news:
Tony Vaughan has responded well and is almost ready to return to training where he should be looking at a return date sometime in the next ten days or so.
Both Lee Williamson and Craig Disley picked up knocks and bruises to their backs but should be fit and well and in contention for Saturday's game against Kidderminister Harriers.
Adam Eaton has taken a slight set back following a training session at Sheffield United last week. The hard surface of the Blades all weather pitch has caused Adam some discomfort but he will be back in training this week and hopefully back to full fitness to fight for his place in the starting 11.
Neil MacKenzie is due to have his 'pot' off and get the hand braced which will allow him to return to no-contact training and see him back in the team in the next week or two.
