LAWRENCE RUMOURS DENIED BY CURLE

mansfieldtown.net reports that revelations in the national press this morning stating that Mansfield Town FC had received an offer of £350,000 from first division club Sheffield United for Midfield Star Liam Lawrence are totally unfounded.
Stags Boss Keith Curle told mansfieldtown.net : “I am aware that a couple of the nationals carried a story about a £350,000 offer for Liam but that was the first I had heard about it” he said. “I am in regular contact with Neil Warnock and we have not discussed a deal of any sort. At least the sum stated is a little closer to the value that I would put on Liam. As I am under no pressure from the Chairman to free up funds I would hope that I can keep Liam at this football club, but if the right offer was made and Liam felt it the best move for him I wouldn't stand in his way” added Curle. |
