The midfielder struck with well placed efforts, all from the 25 yard range, on 12, 43 and 51 minutes as the home side proved far too potent for the Ryman Leaguers. Junior Mendes and Colin Larkin helped themselves to tap-ins on 15 and 42 minutes as the visitors mustered barely a threat. Stags could even afford the luxury of a penalty miss, Tom Curtis the culprit as his effort was superbly saved by Bishop's keeper Micky Desbrough on 58 minutes. That was awarded when substitute Craig Disley was bundled over by Gareth Gwillim, who was then rather harshly sent off. Curtis made amends and grabbed his first Stags goal with a well placed header from Wayne Corden's cross 12 minutes from time. And the margin might have been even higher but for some fine Desbrough saves and profligate Mansfield finishing as the clock ran down on the hapless part-timers. --------- |
