Haslam Aims High
From: Joe Sentance 18/4/2002

Stags chairman Keith Haslam has laid down the gauntlet to his young stars ahead of Saturday's crunch match with Carlisle.

Haslam, who today attended the ITV Digital crisis talks in Manchester, told BBC Radio Nottingham that the club have to aim high over the next twelve months.

He said: "Saturday will be crucial and I really do fancy us, with Plymouth really gunning for the 100 point mark against Cheltenham. However, I have to look at the wider picture and if we achieve promotion the sky is the limit"

"I've had lunch today with Brighton's chairman and they were playing us just last season and now are champions of Division Two and are ready to go up. We have to look at them as a role-model"

He added: "We have a catchment of at least 300,000 and have turned a lot of heads among the Nottinghamshire public. Things are looking up for us but while we have momentum we have to keep it going, we cannot let our foot off the pedal."
