Hartlepool Play-Off Game Would Be A Friday! Should Hartlepool sneek into the end of season play-offs, then their opponents would have to make the journey to the North-East on a Friday night. This is because the local police in Hartlepool refuse to let them play on a Saturday afternoon for some reason. Add to this the small allocation of just over 900 tickets, and it would be a nightmare situation for any travelling club. So if Dale are drawn against Hartlepool, the 1st leg would be at Victoria Park on Friday 26th April, kick-off 7.45pm. And we musn't forget that it is often the form team who win the play-offs, and Hartlepool's late run has certainly left them in good form. They have won five of their last six games, the last one of which was 7-1 win last weekend against Swansea City. But they enter the final game of the season needing a victory at Exeter and subsequent defeats for either Rushen or Shrewsbury to make it into the top seven. So if they do manage to sneak into a play-off place, all the circumstances suggest they are one team to avoid. |
