GANNON REACTION
12th April 2003 17:53

We started very poorly in first 20 minutes, we were a little bit intimidated by everything, and we found ourselves 2-0 down.
Last 25 minutes, we got the ball into good area, started to play a little bit, got a goal and started to have a bit of belief.
We came out in the second half, Disley got in a good opportunity and missed, but again he did exceptionally well with his timing of runs.
Then 2 or 3 defensive errors where we got punished with goals. Defenders switched off a little bit thinking there's no danger and within seconds the ball's behind us and Murray scores twice. For the 4th goal, Carey's run and run and run, and no-one's engaged him.
All 3 second half goals were avoidable, and that's what really hurts.
We shot ourselves in the foot everytime we got back into the game.
We just can't keep doing that at this level.
If we concentrated a bit more, situations could have been avoided.
Where there's life there's hope. We're 6 points adrift. We've got Barnsley at home next week. We've got to win some games.
Not learnt our lessons and we keep making mistakes and we're getting punished.
Adam Eaton has been struggling for weeks but he's been battling on for us. It's come to a point where he was at fault for the 2nd goal where he just couldn't react in time. He's playing in too much pain and you can ask no more of the lad.
