GAME AGAINST NOTTS COUNTY FANS CALLED OFF

The Supporters game against the Notts County supporters team, Sporting Wheelbarrow has been postponed by Nottingham District Council.

Read below an e-mail sent today from Kevin Varney 

I'm so sorry to say but I have received a phone call earlier today from our local council saying that they are canceling the pitch on Saturday due to the pitch being unplayable, and have looked into other pitches. We are also expecting wide spread frost, so the pitch would have been unsafe come Saturday morning also I think. I am sorry about, I've been looking forward to the game all week and I hope this does not cause anyone to be out of pocket.
I'll keep in contact to try and arrange a game between the two sides at a later date as think it would be a good game. Don't mind if its home or away.
I have also heard that the Notts vs Stags game on Saturday may also be called off as it is expected to be very very cold Friday night and this caused us problems earlier in the season, we have pitch covers but the steps
in the stadium become icy, so its a massive health and safety issue. So might be best to tell your lads to keep an eyeout or even earout for any news on Saturday morning.
Hope your supporters team and the Stags have a good end to the season, just hope it starts after this Saturday.
